My Professional Journey
I am only just starting my career path in early childhood education, and I am looking forward to discovering the aspects of working with children, families, and communities. I have no prior experience with children, however, I am going into this field with an open mind and with the willingness to grow by way of placement, observation, and practical experience. I am also eager to establish good relations with families and teachers as I embark on my career.
Interests and Future Goals
I plan to become a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE), a teacher at a toddler room, and to work with children with disabilities. I believe in the provision of inclusive settings to make sure that all children feel safe, welcomed, and valued. My passion for art, crafting, cooking, and dancing enables me to add creativity and joy to the learning environment. I look forward to constantly improving my skills and creating my own identity as an educator.
Land Acknowledgement
I would like to acknowledge that I am a student studying at Humber Polytechnic located on the traditional and Treaty 13, 1805 lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit. This territory is also subject to the Dish with One Spoon Wampum, a covenant agreement between Anishinaabeg, Haudenosaunee, Wendat peoples, and allied nations to peaceably share the land and all its resources.
